Sustainability policy
Since the company’s inception in 1997, Diva has been committed to working within an ethical framework, and this is reflected in our commissions and clients.
The company has built a strong portfolio and reputation within the environmental sector, having developed the multi-award winning air quality awareness campaign, Care4Air, devised and organised the climate change week, ‘Sheffield Is My Planet’, and become a ‘Beacon Partner’ for helping the city to achieve Government recognition for communicating effective messages around ‘delivering cleaner air’.
As part of the company’s commitment to reducing the impact of climate change, the company has undertaken carbon offsetting through two phases of tree planting in urban areas of Sheffield.
Diva’s chosen location ensures we are part of a green heat system that uses a renewable resource to provide an environmentally friendly source of energy throughout the working environment.
During the last few years, Diva has substantially reviewed the company’s working practices
We do not operate company vehicles or fuel-based equipment.
Staff travel is kept to a minimum, with most meetings now conducted on-line.
We operate a hybrid working environment to reduce the number of days that the team needs to travel to the office.
We encourage the team to use public transport and use train travel when attending any client meetings.
We work digitally as standard, which keeps printing and physical materials to a minimum.
When print is required, we use responsible suppliers and materials.
We use energy efficient equipment and lighting in our studio.
We keep energy use to a minimum.
We reduce waste through recycling and low use of single use items.
The company continually reviews the sustainability policy on a regular basis and will continue to make a contribution to tackling the effects of climate change.
