Sheffield is My Planet (SIMP)
Sheffield is My Planet was a campaign that diva were commissioned to work on which was initially focused around a week of events happening in the city.
The diva events team were taken on board by key partners Sheffield First for Environment Partnership to particularly focus their attentions to a large environmental exhibition to be held at the city’s City Hall and to be open to members of the public.
To support the event a website, www.sheffieldismyplanet.com was developed by diva. The website gave people information about what was happening across the city throughout ‘Sheffield Is My Planet Week’, offered updates on latest news and also allowed delegates and exhibitors to register online to attend the exhibition.
Pr was used to drum up public interest in attending the exhibition, alongside a number of print materials, which included formal invites, flyers, and posters.
On the day passing members of the public were alerted to the event happening inside the City Hall by large banners produced by the diva team and erected outside the hall, along with further flyers about the event. Delegates received detailed booklets on the exhibition and the issues, and a branded environmentally friendly carrier for use to hold anything they picked up during the exhibition and on future shopping trips!
