MINISTERIAL RECOGNITION FOR DIVA CAMPAIGNS

One of diva's flagship environmental campaigns, Care4Air, was recently highlighted as an example of best practice in a keynote address at a national conference by Defra Minister for Food, Farming and Environment, Jim Fitzpatrick MP. He also endorsed the innovation within the Eco Stars Fleet Recognition scheme, and recognised the impact that the Low Emissions Strategy project is having in demonstrating collaboration - for both of which diva delivers communications support.

The Minister particularly praised the South Yorkshire air quality awareness campaign for its ability to engage communities: “...the Care4Air Campaign makes it clear, in bold, bright colours, to the individual in the street, to organisations, schools and businesses – the bedrock of the community; it makes it clear that if we are to tackle air pollution, we must do it together.”

This recognition follows on from two Green Apple Awards, one for Care4Air for Local Authority Environmental Best Practice, and one for Eco Stars. The Green Apple Award is one of the biggest, longest established environmental award schemes in the UK. All winners are also put forward to represent the UK in the European Business Awards for the Environment. Care4Air's innovative online presence was further endorsed when it broke all records by winning Air Quality Bulletin magazine’s award for Best Non-Local Authority Website, for the fourth year.
