SOUTH YORKSHIRE DVD PROVES A SUCCESS ACROSS THE GLOBE
Since its release in February this year, it’s been anything but ‘Gameover’ for the hard-hitting DVD that was created in South Yorkshire to highlight the potentially fatal consequences of gun and knife crime to young people.
Produced by marketing and communications agency diva creative, ‘Gameover’ has proved an outstanding success and so far has been downloaded 4065 times via You Tube, My Space and Google Videos.
The DVD forms part of a South Yorkshire Police ‘Guns and Knives Take Lives’ campaign and through the website www.gunsandknivestakelives.com, has been visited by people all over the world including the Philippines, Canada, Denmark, Australia, New Zealand and California.
So far a total of 76 requests have been made for the DVD from a broad range of organisations ranging from the Ministry of Defence Rosyth Fife in Scotland, New York police department, African Refugees Health Access and Support in Bradford and the Safer Neighbourhood Unit in The Metropolitan police force in London, to name a few.
diva creative has recently produced a second DVD, ‘Firearms Support Group’, to portray the high level of training procedures that the firearms team has to undergo. This is also being used alongside ‘Gameover’ in schools across the region. In addition, the ‘Gameover’ DVD is now being used as a resource in presentations to Young Offenders.
