Communications consultancy and strategy development
diva's marketing consultancy services are tailored to meet the needs of each client.
Marketing Strategy and Planning
diva's strategic management team provide consultancy services to develop communication strategies, which typically incorporate a number of stages:
- scoping - to establish current profile, target audiences, key messages and impact of ongoing communications activities
- brand value analysis exercises - to determine core ethos of an organisation or service which will inform the development of the brand
- audience segmentation - to ensure focused targeting
- consultation with stakeholders - to ensure buy in, ownership and gather data
- stakeholder engagement processes - to demonstrate accountability and consultation
- action planning - time based, costed and focused
- evaluation criteria - critical measures, hard and soft, to establish success
Brand Value Analysis
It is essential to ensure that appropriate stakeholders and staff are fully engaged in the brand development process to enable them to positively endorse the brand (and by implication, the service), in their work and practice. Once there is an agreed understanding of what the brand stands for, it will be more viable to expect ownership and loyalty from those who reflect the brand in the field. Brand value analysis sessions are typically conducted with key senior stakeholders, representing as many areas as possible. Sessions cover:
- Values associated with the overall brand / service
- Key messages common to all areas
- Negative perceptions to be addressed
- Target audiences
Stakeholder Engagement
It is often critical to consult service deliverers and stakeholders to gain a good understanding of their perspective. Consultation exercises typically cover:
- Current perceptions of services
- Priority issues as identified by all stakeholders
- Opportunities to raise the profile of all the services
- Opportunities to work more closely with key customers, stakeholders/partners
Media Training
diva provides a media training service, with a range of 'packages' from half a day to a full 2 day course.
The training has been developed to support individuals who interact with the media (interviews, press conferences etc), and is highly practical.
In essence, in all packages, we give participants an opportunity to gain an understanding of how the media works, clarifying key messages and practical guidance for interview situations. The training is geared towards media management, particularly reactive media situations (we also offer crisis media management training).
We aim to give all participants the opportunity to practice their techniques, with radio interviews and live video interviews, using our in-house video equipment.
We limit sessions to a maximum of 12 people, to ensure that everyone has an opportunity to fully participate.
We have tailored the training to a wide range of individuals, from young people, through to senior management teams.
The media training service complements the pr service delivered by diva
