Diva is supporting National Apprenticeship Week with our recently appointed digital marketing apprentice.

Kasim Usman joined us earlier this year on a full-time basis while completing his NVQ in Social Media Digital Marketing from Chesterfield College.

And the 18-year-old Sheffielder is currently planning content for our Twitter channel to promote the government-backed National Apprenticeship Week campaign.

Amanda Pearce, Director at Diva Creative, said: “Apprenticeships offer great opportunities for young people to start their careers in their chosen field and get invaluable experience early.

“Kasim has demonstrated enthusiasm and determination while working on projects with high-profile clients and gaining real insights into the world of work.

“Having also run apprenticeships previously, we also appreciate their benefits for businesses, so it is great to see National Apprenticeship Week spread that message more widely.”

Kasim Usman, social media digital marketing apprentice at Diva Creative, said: “I am excited to be developing my career in the digital aspect of marketing as it is something I am very passionate about.

“Working at Diva means I can develop my skills further while also working towards a qualification, so I really get the best of both worlds from my apprenticeship.

“I hope that other young people in Sheffield think about apprenticeships when they are considering their next steps.”

National Apprenticeship Week is an annual initiative, with 2018’s theme of ‘Apprenticeships Work’ showcasing their positive impacts on individuals, employers, communities and the economy.
