Diva has been shortlisted for a Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) award for our work promoting rail travel to cyclists.
Working with the Rail Delivery Group, we used Facebook Canvas advertising to encourage people to try the PlusBike service on the National Rail Enquiries website and take their bicycle on the train.
The campaign, which generated over seven million impressions and 56,000 website clicks in just three weeks, has earned a nomination in the Digital Campaign category of the CIM Northern Awards.
We are up against the University of Bradford, Widnes Vikings and an NHS campaign, with the winner to be announced in Manchester on 9 November.
Diva’s work with PlusBike was also recently shortlisted for Best Strategic Use of Social Media at the UK Social Media Communications Awards.
Mark Vincent, Digital Strategy Manager at Diva Creative, said: “Facebook Canvas is an effective platform for reaching and engaging your target audiences.
“With public awareness of the PlusBike service quite low, we were keen to reach current cyclists. Canvas allowed us to tell the whole story, explaining how fun a day out by bike and train can be, how PlusBike can help you plan a trip, and how you can use the service.
“The results have been incredible, with the average unique views of the PlusBike web page increasing by more than 500 per cent, so it is great to be recognised in the CIM’s award shortlist.”
Diva works with public sector and private organisations across the UK on sustainable transport, health and environmental projects.
We have already won Website of the Year at the UK Public Sector Communications Awards and Best Website at the Northern Digital Awards, both for the ‘Move It Boom Rio’ site created for Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust.
