A Diva project has been named Best Website at the 2017 Northern Digital Awards.
Move It Boom Rio, created for Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust to encourage children to be more physically active, won the prize at a ceremony in Leeds last night.
The site was visited more than 33,000 times in its first two weeks, with over 25,000 physical activities recorded by users.
It was successful despite competition from the likes of Great Ormond Street Hospital and the Greater London Authority, with the judging panel praising Diva’s co-creation approach.
Steven Key, Creative Lead at Diva Creative, said: “This award is great recognition of Move It Boom Rio’s tremendous impact, and a testament to working in partnership both with our client and young people in the Leicestershire area.
“Taking such a creative and innovative approach to the original problem allowed us to really engage with the target audience and is a huge reason for its popularity and success.
“Looking at the issue from the children’s perspective and working closely with them was the key to delivering a winning product.”
Move It Boom Rio featured an activity finder to help users find sports facilities across the region and online games to inspire children get active.
It was developed in association with the Leicester Riders basketball team, Leicestershire County Cricket Club, Loughborough Sport, Leicester-shire and Rutland Sport, Healthy Schools Leicestershire, and Premier League Champions Leicester City, each of which offered prizes to those completing the site’s adventure game.
Another Diva project, Rediscover That Cycling Feeling, was also shortlisted in the Northern Digital Awards.
Developed with CityConnect, it was nominated for Best Digital Marketing Campaign in the Public Sector after real stories and a nostalgic video helped deliver 8.3 million digital impressions and almost 50,000 website clicks.
Move It Boom Rio’s Best Website trophy means Diva has now won a prize at the Northern Digital Awards three years in a row.
