diva’s recent Alcofacts campaign has been highlighted an as example of best practice at a Government Office Yorkshire and Humber good practice event.
Three of the interventions included within the work are Call It A Night, Christmas To Remember and Alcofacts Know Your Stats e-learning package.
‘Call It A Night’ is targeted at young people, parents and intermediaries, and aims to improve awareness and communication on alcohol and its effects.
The e-learning package offers an innovative and engaging way of learning about the risks of alcohol. It aims to encourage safe drinking and provide information on advice and treatment.
A campaign delivered over Christmas was primarily targeted at women to encourage them to make it a ‘Christmas to Remember’. The campaign offered advice on the health and social implications of excessive drinking over the festive period. It included a survival kit for Christmas and New Year, and was promoted via a radio and press campaign, and an SMS texting service.
